Liberation – a district of Nice located near the city center, centered around Place du Général de Gaulle.

The area, like the Old Town or the port, is very vibrant and full of life. In the mornings, the atmosphere is set by the open-air farmers’ market, as well as the small cafés and shops nearby.

People here not only enjoy buying fresh produce from farmers and fishmongers, but also simply stroll around, meet over a cup of coffee, while children ride the carousel and play in the square.

Not long ago, the former Southern Train Station building was transformed into a stylish commercial center, which has also become a paradise for food lovers, featuring small restaurants and specialty shops.

Right nearby, a small steam train runs toward the mountains, passing through picturesque villages. Everyone loves this route, and I highly recommend trying it (Gare des Chemins de fer de Provence).

For property buyers, it’s worth noting the walking distance to the city center, the convenient direct access to the sea, as well as the presence of beautiful bourgeois houses with high ceilings, which you can see from Place du Général de Gaulle.

Prices in the Libération district are more affordable than in the city center or the neighboring Cimiez.
