The port of Marina Baie des Anges is a unique architectural project
Many Russian clients have taken a liking to the port in Villeneuve-Loubet between Nice and Antibes, the so-called Marina Baie des Anges (Marina of the Bay of Angels).
This unique place differs from other towns of the French Riviera.
The architectural project of Marina Baie des Anges, consisting of 4 pyramidal towers in the shape of a giant wave, was implemented between 1970 and 1993 in parallel with the construction of the yacht port.
Transforming an unsightly coastline into a luxurious architectural ensemble was the task facing the architect André Minangoy in 1960.
This futuristic project aroused mostly admiration in architectural circles and dissatisfaction among various public organizations of local residents.
The disputes around this project ended with the adoption in 1973 of the "Coastal Law", designed to subject construction on the first line to the sea to strict control and prevent future architectural projects that could shock public opinion.
That is why today the French Mediterranean coast is so unlike the Spanish one, on the one hand. And on the other hand, these breathtaking towers have remained a unique architectural monument on the French Riviera, unlike any other.
