Ranking of the Best Schools on the French Riviera

Рейтинг лучших школ на Лазурном берегу

Schools on the French Riviera

The Ministry of Education has published the results of the so-called school performance indicator based on the results of the baccalaureate (bac) exams. As a result, the leading lycées (upper secondary schools) in 2012 in the Alpes-Maritimes department were:

Public lycées:

  1. CIV, Valbonne
  2. Henri Matisse, Vence
  3. Albert – Calmette, Nice
  4. Estienne-D’Orves, Nice
  5. Jules-Ferry, Cannes
  6. La Montagne, Valdeblore
  7. Parc-Impérial, Nice
  8. Masséna, Nice

Private lycées (state curriculum):

  1. Stanislas, Cannes
  2. Fénelon, Grasse
  3. Stanislas, Nice
  4. Sasserno, Nice
  5. Saint-Joseph Carnolès, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
  6. Sainte-Marie, Cannes
  7. Don Bosco, Nice
  8. Mont-Saint-Jean, Antibes

Overall, success rates in private schools are higher than in public ones.

However, the Ministry of Education in France warns parents against relying solely on bare figures and exam success percentages.

Therefore, a whole range of additional indicators has been developed to assess how effectively the teaching staff has worked at a particular school. You can review these results on the website: www.education.gouv.fr/indicateurs-resultats-lycees.

We understand how important it is for parents to choose a good school. Very often, it is the school that determines the area in which our clients are willing to purchase property.

This information will be useful for parents who have chosen French education for their children.
