The most expensive villas on the French Riviera
On August 18, 2016, an article appeared in the French newspaper Nice-Matin stating that another villa of the Belgian King Leopold II, Villa Les Cèdres, located on the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula, is going up for sale, and the talk is about a billion euros.
More expensive than Villa Leopolda, which Mikhail Prokhorov almost bought in 2008 for 400 million euros. The villa boasts the largest plot of land on Cap Ferrat – 14 hectares and attracts the attention of both Arab princes and Russian magnates.
Thus, Villa Les Cèdres on Cap Ferrat took the leading position among the most expensive real estate on the French Riviera, namely:
- Villa La Californie, Cannes
The bourgeois villa of 1,200 m², built in 1920, belongs to the family of Pablo Picasso. His granddaughter Marina last year received an official offer of 150 million euros, which she is ready to accept as soon as she finds alternative accommodation.
